6-Week Career Launch Program
Professional Flooring Academy is a workforce training program equipping neighbors in Southeast Louisiana with real-world flooring installation skills, character development, and a pathway to living-wage work. Whether you’re coming from a tough background, looking for a fresh start, or just ready to learn a solid trade through a focused 6-week, hands-on training experience, participants gain Professional Flooring Academy credentials, mentorship, and direct connections to employers who are ready to hire.
Students will gain foundational flooring installation skills. Over six weeks they will learn to use tools safely, prepare and test substrates and moisture, install resilient and ceramic products with proper waterproofing, and complete carpet, stairs, punch lists, and quality checks.
Alongside hands‑on training, they will build work readiness, character, and community through coaching, reflection, and employer engagement that prepares them for living‑wage jobs in the flooring trades.

This program is especially designed for those who’ve faced barriers—whether that’s justice involvement, limited job experience, or just needing a real opportunity.
